When using our websites and other services, we may ask you for your personal information. The provision of this information is voluntary. The personal information you provide on the GEMA website will be used solely for awareness-raising and educational purposes. We never share the information with third parties.

By filling out your information and confirming the application form on our website, you allow GEMA to store, process and use it for awareness-raising activities – to send information about activities, events and training that we organize and services provided and implemented by Inštitut za proučevanje enakosti spolov (IPES). In this sense, you also allow electronic sending (emails, text messages, etc.).

Pursuant to the Personal Data Protection Act, you may revoke your permit at any time, and you may at any time request disclosure of the amount of stored information about you, corrections of your personal data, suspension of use and deletion of this information, by written notification to the Inštitut za proučevanje enakosti spolov, Glavni trg 17, 2000 Maribor or at info@ipes-si.org.

How do we collect your personal data?

GEMA processes, inter alia, personal data in the following cases:

    • if you contact us directly, for example through a website or a telephone line and request information about our services;
    • if you respond to our campaigns or enter information on our site;
    • if your personal information is provided to us by third parties.

If you are under the age of 16, please provide us with personal information only if you have the permission of your parent or guardian.

Which data can we collect?

The following types of information may be collected about you through the various services and contact channels described in this notice:

    • contact information – name, title, initials, address, telephone numbers, email address;
    • personal data – date of birth, occupation, employer;
    • Website Usage and Communication – the way you use our websites and/or open or forward our messages, including information collected through cookies and other tracking technologies.

How can your information be used?

The use of personal data in accordance with EU law must be based on one of the foreseen legal “bases”. For each use of personal information defined in this notice, we must indicate the legal basis on which we make use.

IPES collects contact information, personal information and website usage information.

How do we protect your personal information?

We use a variety of security measures to protect and ensure the security, integrity and accessibility of your data and information.

Although full data protection from cyber-attacks cannot be guaranteed when transmitting data via the Web or the website, we, with our subcontractors, strive to implement electronic and procedural safeguards to protect your information in accordance with applicable data protection requirements. Among other things, we also use the following measures:

      • strictly limited personal access to your information solely for the purpose stated,
      • continuous monitoring of access to IT systems to detect and prevent the misuse of personal data.

How long do we keep your data?

We keep the data only for as long as is necessary to fulfill the purpose for which the consent was given. We have restricted the access to your information to those persons who need it for that purpose.

 

With respect to your information used for awareness-raising and educational purposes, we may retain your information for this purpose [until further notice] after the date we received your last consent or after the date you last replied to our communication (except in the case of refusal to receive further messages).

You have a right to:

    • request that we provide you with further details about how we use your information,
    • access your personal information and a copy of the information you have provided for us,
    • receive the personal information you provide us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable form,
    • require us to update any inaccuracies in the information we hold,
    • require us to delete any data for which we no longer have a legitimate basis.
